About Taolo

IT support built to prevent problems, not just react to them

Most IT support is billed by the hour, so providers get paid to react to whatever breaks next. Taolo takes a different approach: environments are engineered to stay reliable in the first place, built for cloud-first South African SMEs with no in-house IT team.

Why Taolo exists

Most IT problems are predictable. Most IT support treats them like surprises.

Reactive support has an odd incentive built into it. Providers get paid whether an issue happens once a year or once a week, so there’s not much pressure to actually reduce how often things go wrong in the first place.

Taolo works differently: it defines what a healthy environment looks like, watches continuously for anything drifting away from that, and fixes it automatically within safety limits before it turns into a ticket. A person is still very much involved in all of this. They’re just handling the genuinely hard cases instead of resetting the same password for the fifth time this month.

Our mission

Define what reliable looks like. Engineer it to stay that way.

Automation on its own is not unusual in managed IT. What matters is what it is allowed to do, how it is checked, and whether you can see the result. Taolo’s control layer is designed in-house: it holds the definition of a healthy environment for each client, checks every device against it, fixes drift within safety limits, and records the outcome. It runs on proven endpoint management tooling, so the foundations are mature and the engineering effort goes into the logic that is specific to your business.

Every fix is verified and logged, so nothing runs without a clear record of what happened. The practice supporting your environment is the same one that designed and maintains the automation running it, end to end.

Working with Taolo

What you can expect

Direct access

You deal directly with whoever is managing your environment, not a support queue that routes through several tiers before reaching someone who can actually fix it.

Deliberately focused

Taolo works with one kind of business well: 15 to 50 seats, Microsoft 365, no in-house IT. That focus is part of what makes the automation approach viable.

Designed in-house

The logic that decides what healthy looks like, and what is safe to fix automatically, was designed specifically for this kind of business. It runs on proven tooling rather than reinventing the endpoint agent.
